Today was the first “real” day of our stay here in Toruń, Poland. We began the day in classic chaotic fasion by almost being to late to the opening ceremony, ironically not because of us but because our leaders were late to the time they set for us to meet. A string start off the day. After narrowly avoiding being late we were greeted by a somewhat underwhelming opening ceremony and a fire presentation by Adam Gąsienica-Samek 🐐, definitely the highlight of the morning.
When we finally had some free time we went on a little expedition here in Toruń. During our walk, we stumbled across this quirky musical display installation. I’m a bit unsure exactly what it was meant to be but you could play some melodies on them, so that was nice.
As a small reward for reading this far, here is a (exclusive) picture of a Joshua fast asleep (classic Joshua move).
We got lunch, which was fine, nothing special to write about but it filled you up. Then came the real showdown (table football 🏓), Nils and I completely annihilated Vlad and Joshua. We were cooking something special :). After that we played some board games and headed of to the practice session.
For the practice session it self? Well, we got to try out the judge system, SIO (It was literal dog shit 💩). Hopefully it wont be in the way too much tomorrow 🙏.
That’s about it for today. Everyone’s winding down early to catch some sleep before the big day tomorrow. Wish me luck! 🙏
BREAKING NEWS: My keyboard got banned 😭 (apparently it was programmable) so I’ll have to use the default keyboard which uses a different layout then what I’m used to so please send me some extra prayers 🙏.

Sunday 27 April (Vlad)
Today was the second competition day. There were a lot of expectations coming into this day, because day 1 turned out to be pretty hard (at least if looking at the results). That’s why we thought day 2 would be easier. To be more exact we thought that it would be possible to solve at least one problem entirely and get some partials on the other problems. AND… we turned out to be right! 4/6 people from Sweden full-solved it and many managed to get relatively good points on problem B (37/100). Sofie, at the same time, somehow managed to become on of 4 people who solved problem A, but didn’t solve problem C which the majority of the contestants did.
After the contest we had an opportunity to experience the feeling of learning about the results of others (which is one of the most interesting feelings i’ve ever had). Then we had lunch which was ok.
After that we decided to explore the city instead of going on an excursion. We didn’t regret that, as Toruń is a beautiful city and they have the best doughnuts in the world.
(We went on a really old and scary bridge, and no one else was walking on that bridge) // Harry
Then we had dinner (and they actually had vegetarian food this time 😱), but most importantly we played chess in teams. We (Måns, Simon and I) completely annihilated the Losers Team (Erik and Anastasiia). I don’t know why I am stating the obvious, probably just so the world knows.
Finally we came back to the hotel, where I am writing this blog post about today right now. Tomorrow will be closing ceremony, where we will get out awards. 🏅

P.s. 1: Just as a spoiler - there are only 5 gold medals, so at least one person from Team Sverige didn’t get gold. P.s. 2: Good luck to Erik on contest day 1! (Better later than never) P.s. 3: Yoooooooo
